He wouldn’t have to be. I took an oath under my breath right then and there that if it ever happened, I’d shoot him before he could shoot me. Wouldn’t be surprised though if half the men in the room did the same thing. He was uniformly despised. Even the battalion CO didn’t like him; when it came time to “re-upping,” although the captain desperately wanted to make a career of it, the colonel said no, you’re not Army material (it didn’t help that he dropped his sidearm in the colonel’s office once and put a hole in the ceiling with the colonel standing two feet away when it happened) and Captain Doofus disappeared back into civilian life.

Thanks for that comment. I was beginning to despair after seeing all the military or ex-military writing in saying 25% or more would have no problems whatsoever turning on the American people. Talk about depressing!

I can seriously see another civil war in the making. Half of our military on one side with half on the other. Unbelievable what's happening to our country!
