The intel piece is what scares me the most. The uncomfortable poking and prying that takes place before a security clearance is granted has totally been ignored in this case.

*nod* - But there’s the possibility, in my example, that the “General” is a foreign agent, not even a member of our military. Or, he could be looking for information to politically disgrace a rival, etc, and be doing things that are, at best, a misuse of his authority, and at worst criminal.
