I think that you hit the nail on the head with that one. If unemployment was at 4% and the DOW at 15,000 nobody would care where the president was born as long as the good times kept rolling. But if unemployment hits 25% and the DOW is at a Jimmy Carter 747 level then the birth certificate will be the excuse used to be rid of the Kenyan Usurper. I wish that more people cared about the Constitution and the reasons the founding fathers created the government the way they did. But unfortunately the change people really want is the kind they keep in their back pockets.
