Creationists claim that (1) for evolution to be demonstrated by the fossil record, there must be examples of transitional fossil forms, and (2) there are none of these transitional fossil forms in the record.
What's missing here is some meaningful description of "transitional fossil forms." What do creationists think they would look like? What do they want to see that they're not seeing?
In other words, if a creationist were to actually go into the field to look for transitional fossils (fanciful notion, I know), what would he or she be looking for?
What, if it were actually found, would cause the creationist to pull up short and say "uh-oh, this looks like evidence for evolution"?

Excellent question and one I've been asking for years. The only answers I've gotten are fanciful Dr. Moreau stuff like "half-lizard half-dog" nonsense. So you should qualify your question by adding, "according to the current accepted cladistics and taxonomic theory."
No one can take exception to that qualification, because of course we're not going to find wacky half-beasts that no one has predicted we'd find.

I've asked it several times and never gotten an answer beyond a tautological "something that's clearly midway between two other forms." As best as I can tell, they want something like these:

What, if it were actually found, would cause the creationist to pull up short and say "uh-oh, this looks like evidence for evolution"?This question, with a straight face no less, from the darwin-cult crowd that is intolerable of any and all dissent or criticism or inspection of their cult to the point that it's 100% of the time attacked as religion or anti-science.
What's the word...we need a new one to describe this combination of hypocrisy and irony...ironisy...????
No, obviously the proper question to be asked, is: Is there any scenario which would allow evo-cult victims with their multiple God-hang-ups to perceive a world around them the rest of us so plainly see, (or perhaps DON'T see)?
