If the Pubbies can’t effectively argue their ideology, the conservative philosophy

You presume that the GOP is conservative. I think it is easy to see otherwise, after having all 3 Houses from 2000 to 2006, and seeing the many, many RINO's disavow all conservative ideas since 2006, etc.

You make a good point. I, too, share the idea that today’s GOP is hardly a conservative enclave. I do, however, believe they can become that, again.

If not the GOP, then conservatives need to find a new home...the Constitution Party, maybe?

The Libertarians? I must admit I’m attracted to their economic policies, and the principled stand on individual freedom. Can’t say I care for some of their views relative to foreign policy, but I’m willing to talk about it.

The AIP? Keyes comes off a tinfoil hat kind of guy, sometimes. But, again, there are some things to like...

Sadly, it seems that far too many otherwise intelligent conservatives get absolutely caught up at the abortion debate, and have made that the single most important litmus test issue against which to measure ALL conservatives.

It is, though, time to take back the country, IMO.
