Completely and totally irresponsible to go out at all in a boat that small, given the forecast. The forcast was for 4-6 foot waves and building to 6-10’ throughout the day. Even the big boys in their 60 footers don’t do that. The cold front that pushed through on Saturday was brutal and they paid the price. 21 footer? That’s a bass boat, not an offshore machine.

The story released here was that the other three members of the party elected it “swim” to shore. God help them if this is true. It's a lot easier to spot a 22 foot inverted boat than a persons head in the water.

21 footer? Thats a bass boat, not an offshore machine. You know....there are 21' boats and there are 21' boats.
21' bass boats are made for "BASS FISHING"....!!
21' ocean going boats..are made for "OCEAN FISHING"...!!

It was totally irresponsible to put that kind of weight in a 21 ft boat, let alone in that weather. My husband was saying that the four of them could weigh close to a thousand pounds.
