CHINHOYI, Zimbabwe (AP) - The president of Zimbabwe is vowing that land seizures in his country will continue. And he's calling for the last of Zimbabwe's white farmers to leave. He says, "They have no place there."

Robert Mugabe was addressing supporters at a celebration marking his 85th birthday.

The bash reportedly cost $250,000. It came as the African country's new unity government tries to raise money to rescue Zimbabwe's collapsed economy.

“The bash reportedly cost $250,000”

Sloppy journalism. If this was in Zimbabwe dollars it was the cheapest birthday party ever (maybe enough for them all to split a jelly bean). On the other hand, if US$250,000 then there probably aren’t enough zeros in existence to convert to Zimbabwean currency.
