Jackson, Mississippi - Many thanks to all make the effort and supported the 'Tea Party' at the capital today. Thanks too to those who wanted to attend but were unable to for various reasons. Threre will be many more opportunities in the coming months to contribute.
That day started with an interview with Mr. Paul Gallo on the SuperTalk. He gave us a great plug and encouragement.
Thanks goes out to Kip Gregory of 104.9 News Radio in Gulfport for the interview Thursday.
montesquiue, her husband and I arrived at the Capital shortly before 11am. We set up our table, unsure if anyone else would show up. Well, we did not have to wait long before people started arriving. But, these weren't FReepers! Folks had heard about the tea party on the radio, web searches and blogs. Approximatley 20 people attended. This may sound like a small number to some, but with the limited publicity we had and the Friday event, I was very pleased.
FReeper fatrat two-wheeled from Picayune, more than 150 miles to attend!
Some floks, non-FReepers, traveled from South Haven, more than 190 miles. We really appreciated their efforts!
Not everyone was able to stay and walk the block around the captial. Those that did attracted attention and got lots of thumbs up from passersby.
You are never too young to learn the value of Liberty.

All in all, the day was a success. We were able to meet like minded people and introduce them to Free Republic. This is only the beginning. It is going to be a long four years!
In the mean time, let's party!

God bless the MS people. Beautiful photo of the building, good job.
Maybe next time all the rallies will be on Saturday. I think many more people across the USA would participate on a Saturday.

I hate that I missed the event. However, I hope to be part of the next one: 4/15? I’ve launched http://msteaparty.com so I have a place to rant about politics in general and hope to work with ya’ll to get more tea parties organized in MS.
