a lot of the mexico issues have to do with pot smuggling. if it becomes legal in the US, thats a good thing isnt it?

The tough part will be for the DEA and the forest service that have to go clean up Mexican run grows in the national forests in states that legalize pot.

It’s true. Pot is their most profitable export.

There are a great many products that can be derived from hemp. (including ethanol fuel)

The Mexican cartels will continue smuggle cocaine, meth, and heroin.

This is going to be a policy change of non-enforcement, not a law change. Dope clubs, like the ones in California, will continue to live on the fringe of legality. The clubs will not be targeted, but where does the supply come from?
