devolve, he’d never come near me again if I used alcohol!!
They said don’t use anything, even hydrogen Peroxide, but that didn’t cover what just happened..

I read every day what zero is doing, but I’m one tiny nobody and feel helpless.

.

I found “New Skin” (not “Liquid Skin”) again at Target - for my portable first aid kit -

It has an antiseptic in it too - a very slight temporary sting perhaps - but not like Iodine - if it’s a fresh cut or burn - but it goes away instantly -

I was surprised my physicians were not familiar with it and did not even have it in their treatment rooms - They all were interested in it and bought some for themselves

On a really bad open cut I’ve had good rsults with first cleaning the cut and wrapping a cut finger with fine thread - Then applying a bit of Super Glue to the threads on each side of the cut area

Then applying alcohol or a good antiseptic ointment - then “New Skin” over the area

Going to a physician later after driving to the ER or doc’s office - they told me they could not have fixed it any better and that they would have thought it required stiches - which usually produces a rough scarred area and more time to heal properly

A mixture of oral/gum pain ointment for teeth and a powdered aspirin and some shaving stick will do wonders to kill the pain and stop bleeding if you do not have “New Skin” or bandages

I reacall using Super Glue to firmly attach a bandage to a dog’s foot after cleaning it and using antiseptic lotion to protect it during a very cold winter - the foot pad had been cut somehow as a result of an impact while the feet were very cold and easily damaged

I checked it every day and in a few days the bandage was no longer needed and the Super Glue was simple to remove

Great stuff Super Glue - They used it in Viet Nam and even on eye emergencies

It belongs in every First Aid kit too - with needles and thread

Honey works wonders on sore dogs feet in a cold winter too - It helps heal many cuts or abrasions that other things will not stop the infection in

I could be wrong - But this stuff always worked for me
