My favorite Republican though is Senator Jim DeMint, and if he were to run in the primary I would vote for him in a heart beat.
I just watched him being interviewed by Fox News and I think he's great. From what I've seen of Sen. DeMint, he seems to have a proven conservative track record, He's not afraid to mix it up with the Democrats, He articulates conservative principals in a clear and compelling manner, and he doesn't come across as a doddering old geezer or an inexperienced youth.
Now I'm sure DeMint has some faults since there is no such thing as a perfect conservative. As long as his views agree with mine 80% of the time I'm happy with him, and from what I've seen of him so far, I'm quite impressed.
Now before Palin and Jindal supporters get upset at me, I'm not trashing Palin or Jindal and would never dream of doing so, because as I said before, I like both of them and I think either one of them would be a great Commander in Chief.
