I know your being honest and I appreciate that. As I said in my post, Jindal didn't perform that well tonight and Palin didn't perform too great with her media interviews so I'm not being their cheerleaders. In fact I haven't even picked a favorite candidate yet because we still have a while to go before the Republican primaries, and I imagine there will be more Republicans jumping in to run for the nomination, and one or more of them could be better than Plain and Jindal. I'll just have to wait and see.

I plan on waiting for the Republican debates to decide which candidate I'll support, because the debates will determine for me which candidate has what it takes to lead our party to victory. I just hope conservatives will wait till then to pass judgment on which ever candidate is running. I sure don't want to be stuck with another McCain because too many conservatives sat on their hands during the primary because the candidate they thought was their last great hope fizzled or bombed, aka Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.

Exactly the correct attitude to take... and we on FR and the GOP would ALL be stronger for waiting until 2011, when all the debates will start, to start weeding out who is good and who is bad as far as presidential material is concerned, in the meantime we should watch, read and begin to form educated opinons of the potential candidates. Look at the cheerleaders here for Duncan Hunter... even today... yet we know, now, he was the leading recepient of money from the DC Lobby firm under federal investigation (thanks to the crooked Jack Murtha). We do need to stop being cheerleaders for anyone and become hardcore analysts of both sides of the aisle.
