WASHINGTON -- Barreling ahead on a mammoth agenda, Barack Obama is ready to offer a detailed sketch of the first year of his presidency, casting the nation's bleeding economy as a tangle of tough, neglected problems.
In a prime-time speech from the House of Representatives, Obama will make his case Tuesday that much more has to be done to turn around the economy -- a message he knows he must explain.

Well, now, you learn something new every day. I did not know this. When I was looking at the listings I thought “State of the Union?” Zero’s only been in office five weeks!
I look at it as another opportunity for a pontificating worthless weasel who never held a real job to tell hard working Americans how to live their lives because he SAID so.
I predict total bottom of the pit ratings for CBS and ABC - looks like NBC and Fox are carrying it on their news channels.

------------What's the over/under on how long it takes him to say the word inherited when discussing this economic crisis?--------------
From the article,
Obama will make clear that the trillion-dollar-plus deficit is one he "inherited." In other words, he wants to remind people that President George W. Bush and the previous Congress left him a big hole, forcing him to pursue the costly stimulus package..........
.........So he will push for movement on ensuring health coverage for all Americans. He will seek to expand educational opportunities, and diversify the country's energy sources, and contain sacred entitlements like Social Security, and halve the soaring budget deficit in four years.....

The campaign that never ends.
I think this guy is so arrogant, so narcissistic, and yet so emotionally or psychologically fragile, that he can’t go a week without giving a big speech before a fawning crowd. He’s addicted to the “glamor” of being POTUS.
Reminds me somewhat of another major political leader of about 70 years ago. The ironic thing about that other guy was that in contrast to all the huge outdoor rallies, his life ended in an isolated fantasy world deep inside a bunker. I wonder if 0 will retreat into the bunker of the Oval Office if he becomes less popular.

I actually felt more optimistic after the AIG/China/Hillary news came out - it's reassuring to see that indeed there is still a greater fool willing to be fleeced.
One would think that the Chinese would be able to clearly assess that the FIRE economic model is dead and make new plans accordingly. But no, they will continue to poor in good money after bad at every Treasury sale, so who are we to deny them?
However, even more egregious is their clear lack of knowledge regarding demographics. It's probably a blind spot since China has been pretty stable demographically for thousands of years.
But the USA is a completely different story. It was founded on conquest and is now the recipient of historically parallel actions. All one has to do is draw a 500 year arc from Native Americans to Europeans and back to Native Americans.
If the Chinese think they are ever going to get their money back they are solely mistaken. It's ludicrous to think that the future majority of working Hispanic families is going to shoulder a huge tax burden that was incurred to protect whites & blacks from the economic excesses of the 00's.
If the Chinese are really this dumb, then we should all be rejoicing.

Yes,
“NEGLECTED PROBLEMS” means that nobody tried to destroy Capitalism in this country, although Bush gave it his best shot.
But, Chairman MAObama will see that it is brought down in the first year of his “Presidency”.

Hmm...I have a feeling about this speech -- that whomever is pulling Obama's strings sat him down very recently and told him, "You're supposed to be a great speechmaker, so you better make a
real good one because people are getting a little suspicious and we're running out of time.
"So you better get out there and hypnotize 'em good."
