Obama’s operatives at the Tribune got Sen. Ryan’s divorce unsealed. This made Ryan toast. The GOP recruited Keyes at the last minute because Ditka was not interested. Keyes did his best but the media were in 100% Obama pander mode back then.
I still have to say that Alan Keyes and his act is getting stale. To me, I’m a small government - fiscal conservative - and Alan wants to grow the government HIS way - buy telling people what they can do in their home. I’m a PRO-LIFE, PRO-GUN, Pro-Gay Marriage (no, I want them to have the rights of married people, but the word marriage should be reserved for straights) conservative. I’m almost a LIBERTARIAN, but I’m not as CRAZY as they are in terms of DRUGS RIGHTS and Defense (Since they want open borders).
Couldn’t the GOP in Illinois get ANYONE in Illinois to run? They had to ‘import’ someone from Maryland to run? Yes, it does work for Dems (see New York), but we shouldn’t have tried it.
