And when green energy hits there will be breaks and exemptions and programs that will make sure that you and me pay some one elses share of the cost (for a lie that will not solve anything, of coarse).

So - for $12/month more I can feel good about myself that somewhere, somehow, someone put up a solar panel!?
I’m guessing that this “Green Power Program”, when they figure out that volunteering doesn’t quite cut it, it will become mandatory, and give it some fancy name like Green Realization And Benefits. (GRAB for short.)
