Yes. It can be scoffing.
Do you agree that it’s possible to talk about the last days in a serious conversation?
More to the point, do you agree that it’s possible to use relevant quotes from all sources, including biblical sources, to make points about serious situations?
For example, if I were to say, “That’s Armageddon-level behavior.” does that mean that I’m necessarily predicting that some event is “the” Armageddon?
>>>>>> Do you agree that its possible to talk about the last days in a serious conversation? <<<<<<<
No I do not. But not for the reasons you may think. Rather I say that because almost every “last days” assertion I’ve ever heard or read here on FR (or elsewhere) fails to account for the numerous (limitless) other occasions in our present and past that entirely refute any “last days” assertion. For example, let’s talk about the Millerites.

No I do not believe the Bible predicts events in such a manner as to be “decoded” by certain self-anointed insiders and “believers”. Event the Bible itself says that people should not and cannot do that, nor should such people be believed.

I don’t know what you mean by “Armageddon-level behavior” and I’d ask you what you meant by saying it.
