All they have to do is send a letter requiring proof that it has been installed by their certified mechanics, before you get that sticker. So if you think you can slide, then you are only fooling yourself.
My county doesnt work for the feds. They dont have the people to administer such nonsense. Never happen. I’ll tell them to take a hike if they do. That’s one device I know won’t be installed on my car.
