What would happen if Alaska simply ignored the federal billing ban and claimed ANWR as part of their sovereignty? This may seem like a fantasy, but it actually could happen at some point as Obama continues to destroy this great nation.

I think Pelosi doesn’t have the power to do an end run and force Alaska to take the stimulus, this will probably end up in SCOTUS.

Drill in ANWAR, ignore the ban.

Eric Holder will send in tanks, and kill.

Fort Sumter ... in reverse.

I believe ANWAR is considered Federal land. Even if Palin were to give the finger to Washington, she would have to find a company to do the drilling. I suspect there would be no takers. I doubt Alaska has the knowledge or material resources to take on the task itself. Perhaps there are some independents around could be hired to do the drilling.

Of course, things could get real dicey if the Feds decided to send armed agents and or military in to Alaska to prevent the drilling. Couldn’t use the Alaska NG because I doubt Palin would sign the document necessary to Federalize her NG.

But it certainly would set up the possiblity for the “second shot heard around the world”. Fascinating how quickly people are transitioning to a “revolutionary” state of mind.
