Not sure what this Battered American will be doing on Nov 4, '09, but on the last one, he was already mourning the Temps Perdu (having voted early and for McCain/Palin).

Deep sigh... What was this battered american doing on Nov. 4 ‘09 I don't know, since it hasn't happened yet. But I know on 11/4/2008 I was battered by being in line at 6:30 am waiting and ready to cast my ballot for McCain/Palin and against Obama/Biden. Lot of good it did.
