Sadly, I don’t see that kind of sex education occurring in public schools. The public schools track record in dealing with sex and kids isn’t so reasonable.

I wouldn’t want to see what the NEA can come up with for teaching kids in grade school about sex.

I agree with you that any public school efforts along these lines will be very perverse.

An alternative would be for a respectable and responsible organization to produce high quality instructional blocks that are age appropriate, on DVD, with distribution for family viewing.

Many of us remember the value of the Disney educational movies when we were growing up. How they could deliver large amounts of information in an enjoyable manner, and markedly better than classroom instruction.

By delivering such DVDs to families, directly, perhaps Netflix-style, a huge amount of accurate and timely information could be given, stripped of any indoctrination or political correctness. As such, it would neutralize a lot of the current efforts at propagandizing children, because such villains just couldn’t overcome the clarity of a multimedia presentation.

Importantly, the DVDs need to be oriented to correct parental ignorance as well. A lot of parents are just as ignorant or misinformed as their children about sexuality, and need to learn these things as well.
