You stoked my interest in that darn P3AT.

Less than 8 ounces empty? Sheesh.

Less than a pound with a full load...

Check it out at Kel Tec. And there's a GREAT user group at Kel Tec Owners Group.

IF you get one, take it apart, give it a VERY thorough cleaning, give it the "fluff and buff" found at KTOG, and then go run a few hundred rounds through it. VERY reliable, insanely small, and made in America (Cocoa Beach, FL). It's the polymer handle/frame-wrap that makes it light, just like on Glocks and most modern semi-auto pistols.

Oh, and loaded (6 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber), it's just over 11 ounces...;) Gotta like that! Same size as the P32 (photo above), but just a hair wider (by 1/16th of an inch).

I carry in a pocket holster from Pocket Holsters. It rides in my rear strong-side pocket - jeans or slacks. Weak side has the wallet. It fits like a glove, and pulling it out is literally a sub-two-second affair from initial touch to on-target. And NO WAY to have an AD - the trigger opening is FULLY covered by a VERY stiff leather holster on BOTH sides of the trigger.

If it sounds like I'm shilling Kel Tec, well I'm just a VERY satisfied customer. Close to 1000 rounds through my P32 without a problem, and the SU-16A rifle that I have (another K-T design) has been trouble-free for close to 2000 rounds of 223.
