Some can, most don’t. The tendency of YECs to extrapolate isolated special cases to the broad general case despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary is astounding. They do truly give athiests plenty of ammunition.
There’s no ‘special’ case here. Its exactly the same conditions in microcosm of the Genesis judgement, and is a solid proof of basic ‘flood’ geology. - I know that you don’t like it, but it fits like a glove.
