Newspapers don't necessarily need to exist as paper products.
On the contrary the name sames it all. Paper serves as the sole existential ingredient of newspaper. From growing trees for pulp to using trucks to deliver paper product the whole industry revolves around paper. Only by virtue of owning a relatively scarce paper product can organizations force creative people to work in a newsroom.
