I completely support stay-at-home Moms (or Dads). But if the Mom is home and the Dad gets 1 year off with 2/3 pay, then neither parent is working. You mention traditional Muslim families being large. What’s your analogy compared to the German situation?
As it is throughout western europe, muslims compose a high percentage of those on public assistance, meaning plenty of time to make babies.
