Actor Tom Cruise will drive the Chevrolet Camaro pace car at the start of Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has been named grand marshal for the 51st running of the Daytona 500. Keith Urban is set to perform a pre-race concert.
Julianne Hough will perform the National Anthem

I occasionally work as a race official (road racing, not oval track). We get yelled at for using the word “roll” on the land line; that word is reserved for when a car goes on its lid.
We also aren’t supposed to say “fire” unless we see flames.
Needless to say, you’ll get really chewed out if you say a car has re-fired and is once again rolling :)
