Does anyone know why they canceled the pre-season testing?
$$$
Nascar said it was to save $$$....
God help us. We’re gonna have to endure a season of this animated crap (Digger).
Truex on pole, the old man lovingly said is second MM.

Money and to help equalize the one car teams that have NO money.
i see raindrops...
Cost cutting move to save the teams cash.
They could at least go back to using bodies that look like street cars, and maybe use an engine available in the race car’s production counterpart.
Ever watch SPEED World Challenge? Those guys are required to use a production tub, and starting in ‘09 they can’t relocate suspension pickup points anymore. Granted, it’s all road courses, but that series IMO is real “stock-car” racing.
Nutscar cancelled ALL testing at any track where they will race an actual race allegedly to ‘SAVE MONEY’...yeah, sure!
Teams now have to practice at tracks that do not host a sanctioned race, so no teams will actually ‘know’ how their car runs on a real track.
Undoubtedly, teams now will have NO CLUE as to how their cars will run at a track until they get there. This will surely cause more ill handling cars and more crashes.
This is another idiotic rule, just like the worst rule ever...the top 35 in owner’s point automatically are in the race...I continue to urge Nutscar to let the fastest 43 cars race, regardless of the ‘star’ behind the wheel...that’s REAL RACIN’
/Rant
going to the back
#39 Newman
#17-Kenseth,
#77-Hornish,
#82-Speed,
#34-Andretti,
#29-Harvick.
Thanks...great to see Mark Martin sitting in the #2 position.
Watched a very good interview this morning with Joey Logano...great kid...quite a separation in age between Martin and Logano. I wish Logano a good solid finish.
Hopefully it’s going south as they said earlier. It’s a cr@p shoot now.
Is there any reason they couldn’t just set up a couple mandated test days? I mean, this works for almost every other pro racing series in the world...
Of course, in the case of a few of these, individual teams are spending more money for a single race than some NASCAR teams do all season *cough*F1*cough*
Cool! They just showed Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison crashing (then duking it out) in the ‘79 Daytona 500.
They’d probably get suspended if they did that today.
Of course, but that would make sense, RIGHT???
Well, the IRL does it, and they rarely do anything that makes sense. :)
