That’s a good idea. And when they realize the public won’t willingly buy their crappy cars, they’ll pass a law imposing hefty taxes on any non-nationalized car company.
Come to think of it, why not just nationalize all the car companies - that way people will have no choice but to buy the national cars? In fact, why can't this be done for all ailing industries? Or all industries period? I think I'm on to something.
There might even be an Obama administration Economic Czardom in my future.
