You mean the surviving Bonus Marchers.

Did you miss the part where the Federal government was more than willing to gas, shoot, and kill American citizens who were peaceably exercising their God Given and Constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment rights?

Did you catch the names of the Officers in charge of the Federal troops who did the killing?

If you think shutting down DC will bring a different reaction this time around you're hopelessly naive.

I didn't say that. You are putting words in my mouth and then slamming me for something I didn't say. Go back and read my original post

You mean the surviving Bonus Marchers.

That would include most, if not all of them. According to the article you cite, two demonstrator--out of tens of thousands--were killed.

In his book Modern Times: The World From the Twenties to the Eighties (New York: Harper & Row, 1983), renowned historian Paul Johnson had this to say about the Bonus Army:

No episode in American history has been the basis for more falsehood, much of it deliberate. The Communists did not play a leading role in setting up the camp, but they organized the subsequent propaganda with great skill. There were tales of cavalry charges, of the use of tanks and poison gas, of a little boy bayonetted while trying to save his rabbit, of tents and shelters being set on fire with people trapped inside...Some of these fictions were still being repeated in respectable works of history even in the 1970's.
