This just goes to show the "loyalty" of the democratic party. Write a letter to Arlen, send him this link! It may not be too late to defeat the stimulus bill. In any case, he's not going to win re-election either way.

Contact Arlen Specter.

Did he really think his vote would save him from a serious Democratic challenge? He should talk to Bush about how capitulating to Dems works out.

The senate is apparently like the supreme court. They’re there for life.

Republicans will come flocking back to stand by Specter's side after this outrageous threat. I would myself but I have to trim my toenails tonight.

I'll stand back so I don't get trampled in the stampede...

he's not going to win re-election either way.

So you can bet he's accepting lots of "Gift$" these days to help in his retirement.

This illustrates just how confident the Democrats are that the trillion dollars they just secured will win them a majority no matter what happens legislatively from here on in.

79 years old today and hasn't learned a damn thing.

This strikes us as odd, and even perhaps, bad timing, never mind that it’s also Senator Arlen Specter’s birthday today (79).

Birthday or I.Q.?...70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency in intelligence...where do these republican morons come from?

A day after Majority Leader Harry Reid praised Mr. Specter, one of three Republicans who came to the rescue of the majority's need to climb over that 60-vote hurdle to pass the economic stimulus package, the new leader of the Senate Democrats' election arm took aim at the senior senator from Pennsylvania. At a news briefing a little while ago, Senator Robert Menendez, the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said Mr. Specter's seat was one of the Democrats' targets for the 2010 midterm elections. Mr. Menendez cited the increased enrollment of Democrats in the state and his poll ratings in contending that Mr. Specter would face a very tough re-election tide.
All politics is local -- except as conducted by the Party of Treason, the so-called Democrats.
Viewed from the genuine abolition ground, Mr. Lincoln seemed tardy, cold, dull, and indifferent; but measuring him by the sentiment of his country, a sentiment he was bound as a statesman to consult, he was swift, zealous, radical, and determined... taking him for all in all, measuring the tremendous magnitude of the work before him, considering the necessary means to ends, and surveying the end from the beginning, infinite wisdom has seldom sent any man into the world better fitted for his mission than Abraham Lincoln. -- Frederick Douglass

You’re right, but don’t blame the Democrats. Specter is a traitor, and it is not at all unusual for a traitor’s new “friends” to dispense with him as soon as they no longer need him. Why should THEY trust a traitor?

Why not toss old Arlen out of the party and strip him of all seniority. Make his office in the men’s room next to the urinal.

Specter was trying to get MSM and Lib street cred as a reasonable “moderate” Republican. This is how the old fool gets repaid.

When you play with fire you get burned. Ask George HW Bush, he raised taxes and lost to Clinton. Ask Mike Dewine, he worked with the moderates/McCrap and got beat. Specter voted down Bork, backed Clarence Thomas and won. He will lose this time. He’s finished. Clean the office. He doesn’t have “W” to go to this time. “W” did screw the conservatives by backing this piece of crap of Toomey (so did Santorium).

What a coincidence. He’s one of our targets too. I hope we get someone running against this hemorrhoid in the primary.

Perhaps that the strategy. Enlist iffy Republican support on a poison bill such as Porkulus then target him in the midterm. Unless the RNC gets serious about supporting a Toomey or a Santorum in PA the seat will go blue since Specter is now public enemy #1 to PA conservatives, who were never his base anyway.
