Actually, we only have her and her "PR consultant's" word about the threats of violence and death.
By definition, the PR firm (wonder who's paying for that) job is to garner as much sympathy for her as possible and they'll go to ANY lengths to do it. It's part of the image makeover.
I wanna hear and see actual copy of these death threats first.
Amazing how freepers will question the MSM like crazy, unless they want someone’s head on a stake for taking government assistance. I don’t like the welfare state, but you sound like a heartless creep right now. Judging by the comments I’ve seen on here by decent (normally) people, I have no doubt she’s getting death threats. The number of people on here that have tried to contact her would constitute harassment. You don’t have any FACTS backed up by evidence, but you automatically assume everything she does is somehow taking a dime out of your pocket and must be evil. I have no problem with criticizing the woman as long as you have something to back up your claims. You’re backing it up with assumptions based on what you think she must be doing.
The woman is obviously mentally unbalanced according to her mother. Why offer her on a guillotine to the pro-death movement to use as an excuse to defend abortion or sterilization? There are plenty of religious groups who will likely try to help her. But, that would probably be evil to accept that help too. And, the woman wouldn’t need an “image makeover” if she didn’t have people making all these assumptions about her and spreading crap they have no way of backing up. I don’t know what the woman has actually done over her life, other than she has a B.S. degree and was working on a Masters, how much money she’s made, or how much assistance she’s received, and you don’t either. You don’t know how much her father has (supposedly he’s got some money). So, there really isn’t anything to hang her for (hard facts I mean).
So her kids got disability they were legally allowed to get. My parents got that, along with help from the crippled children’s fund when I was a kid too, and it was a dang good thing or they wouldn’t have been able to afford to save my life. Sometimes, it isn’t a horrible thing to help someone out. We were a very self-sufficient, conservative family, yet, GASP, we once accepted government help for a time. Good thing you weren’t around to send us e-mails and hiss and spit.
Just have the facts before you assume everything the woman does is costing you something or justifies intimidation and harassment. It might be you someday who needs help and gets on the wrong side of an activist’s political statement. Like I said, I don’t like the nanny state either, but people are still human beings. The case for government assistance being out of control can be made without making shit up about a woman no one knew before she dared have a bunch of babies instead of killing some of them off. There are even mentally unbalanced people that still don’t deserve a public lynching and made up stories about them. Now if you have evidence to back up all the claims you’ve made about her motives, money, and evils, present it. Otherwise, admit you don’t really know and she’s just become a poster child for your anger at big government.
Last one. Series. More from the article I linked:
“From the outside you can tell that this woman was playing the system,” host Bryan Suits said on the “Kennedy and Suits” show on KFI-AM. “You’re damn right the state should step in and seize the kids and adopt them out.”
Seizing people’s children and adopting them out?!!! The woman is obviously a bit nuts herself, and probably shouldn’t be getting a Masters in counseling, since she needs it herself, but to make a political “poster child” out of a mentally unstable person will backfire. watch the liberal death cult have a field day with blog comments and talk radio....suddenly they’re interested in what talk radio has to say. lol!
