LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California's octuplets mom, already jobless and receiving food stamps, has gone into hiding with her six older children because of death threats, her spokesman said on Wednesday.
Nadya Suleman, 33, has come under mounting public ridicule for expanding her already large family via fertility treatments that led to the January 26 birth of six boys and two girls at a Los Angeles-area hospital.
That criticism has mushroomed as it was reported that she was divorced, living with her parents, unemployed for several years, receiving disability checks for three of her children -- one of whom is autistic -- and collecting nearly $500 a month in food stamps.

I don’t think she was courageous. Almost certainly, she was required to be on bed rest for months. For a woman like her, what’s not to like? Somebody else had to take care of the other six, and cater to her, as well.
Last one. Series. More from the article I linked:
“From the outside you can tell that this woman was playing the system,” host Bryan Suits said on the “Kennedy and Suits” show on KFI-AM. “You’re damn right the state should step in and seize the kids and adopt them out.”
Seizing people’s children and adopting them out?!!! The woman is obviously a bit nuts herself, and probably shouldn’t be getting a Masters in counseling, since she needs it herself, but to make a political “poster child” out of a mentally unstable person will backfire. watch the liberal death cult have a field day with blog comments and talk radio....suddenly they’re interested in what talk radio has to say. lol!
I’ve carried multiples myself so I KNOW it takes courage to get through such a pregnancy and give birth (especially a surgical birth which increases maternal mortality 4x).
I will continue to raise some red flags in this case because so many conservatives here don’t seem to realize the dangers of joining with liberals in heaping overwhelming criticism, even death threats, on this woman without realizing that such a case could backfire on the rights of the privacy of the family unit. She loves children — that is not a mortal sin. The babies are not even home from the hospital yet and there are cries to take them away from her by force. We have to be very careful not to allow ourselves to be used by the liberal press on this case to recommend force in this situation, when there are millions of other single mothers, many on welfare, who could also have their children taken away by the state.
I had twins. Did you have more than that?
