In some ways I think we are failing to properly harness the vast bulk of the US population in stomping with outrage on the socialist destruction of the nation.
The emphasis on Porkulus is really just taken as more of the same by the vast bulk of the population. They have been sold the idea that “the Republicans wallowed in legistative lust when they had the power and now the Dems are having their turn — more of the same.”
The only thing that can get the population excited is the realization that there was a finacial 9/11 brought about intentionally to ruin their economy, their jobs, their retirments, their home ownership and their nation as a whole. They will not get excited about potential future ruin as both parties have traded those acussations for decades and it has never failed to leave the population in their two political alignments.
If they begin to have an understanding that based upon a general plan laid out by socialists in the late 60s and with the minority assistance of Free Marketeer’s Ideological purity playing a part as well (credit swaps,shorting extensions and SEC permissiveness), the opportunity arose for malevolent powers like Soros to set in motion a destructive pirates dream of shorting the entire economy and setting the stage for a socialist highjacking of the US government, we might see the revulsion and outrage needed.
The impending threat of Islamo Terrorism gave them nary a pause. The fact of outright murder and destruction on 9/11/2001 set in motion a whole nation akin to December 7 at Pearl Harbor — a outrage that was beyond “management.”
The issues of this thread and others like it are the touchstone.
History books teach lies. Movies teach mindless violence and overt sexuality. The Left has control of the children, good people are demonized or ridiculed and conservatives are voices in the wilderness.
