LAS VEGAS - Sin City's mayor wants President Barack Obama to apologize for saying companies shouldn't visit Las Vegas on the taxpayer's dime.
Oscar Goodman spoke after a regular scheduled meeting with tourism officials where he expressed concern that federal lawmakers might be discouraging travel to the city.
"What's a better place, as I say, than for them to come here," Goodman told KLAS-TV. "And to change their mind and to go someplace else and to cancel _ and at the suggestion of the president of the United States _ that's outrageous."

Well according to Schumer, we don’t care how congress spends taxpayer money.
But on the other hand, isn't Vegas too big to fail?
Yeah, it's funny how all of the sudden tax payers should have a say how money is spent when it's going to bail out companies.
Never mattered before except now it's a tool to stir the pot with the people. I wish more people would wake up to that fact instead of just reacting and berating private enterprise and how they spend it.
Everytime the one opens his mouth he causes more harm to our country both economically and on the national security front.
He’s just using the Bully Pulpit for Community Organizin’ on a National scale.
I don’t like the way they spent it but at least there is some validity in saying it went back into the economy. We can’t say that about the stimulus money.
I'd rather see monies go to help companies then to government pet projects any day.
At least it stays in the private sector.
To be clear, I was/am against any government bailouts for any companies...no good can possibly come from any government intervention in my view.
This is on Drudge and the other article about drops in tourism to Nevada is loaded with comments. Most of them are people who won’t go to Nevada until they vote out Harry Reid. All you need to leave a comment is an email address, I told them I hope the people of Nevada rot in the heat.
Thanks. Hope that all comes back to you and your family in spades.
