Arlen Spector and the others must have realized that their turncoating wasn’t perceived as “bi-partisan” and “getting things done in Washington” and the backlash was more than they expected.

($335 Million for STD research, still no cure for cancer. Thanks Obama)

You know, you would think for their own sakes they wouldn't want to see funding of ACORN (and at taxpayer expense). You'd think that they'd scream louder about moving oversight of the census to the White House. I just don't understand these people. I can only suppose that they really really believe that most Americans are that stupid and have that short of memories, and they may not be wrong. But what about what these things do to their own ambitions? The buzz has to be getting louder and louder that money will be drying up to the RNC, people want their contributions to mean something.

Arlen Spector's preening that he was invited to the White House to watch the Super Bowl with 0bama was playing to his hubris.
He's so full of $hit and loving the limelight that someone needs to remind him that he'll soon join the infamous crowd of failures and cursed names for selling out the people for a pat on the head from the OBamination. His name is now down there with those such as Judas Iscariot, Hitler, Nero, etc.
