Beck: Blow-up coming by 2010
Glen Beck Show

Beck was animated tonight. He predicts some sort of blow-up/revolution by next year. Rationed healthcare for those over 50. Obama's Brownshirts. Three trillion dollars down the toilet in ObamaAid. The Left confiscating private firearms. Illegal aliens getting "stimulus" money and amnesty. The Obama war on religion. The second and third ranking Justice Department nominees child pornographers and anti-military hatemongers. Interesting.

“I want to have a Domestic Security Force under Homeland Security that will have all the power of the US military”....Barack Obama, 2008 (paraphrased)
If he gets his wish...and he will, it doesn’t matter whether our military follows his order or not.

He might be onto something with Obama's "brownshirts". Nothing disturbs me more than the astonishing incivility of the left, and it gets worse every day. When Bush was in office, how many times did we hear lefties openly wish for his assassination? I had to hear that on multiple occasions from coworkers in my lefty-overrun workplace. The libs truly run the show now, and they do not want to tolerate free speech from those that they disagree with. They run the government, they run the schools, they run the entertainment industry, they run the media. All we have is talk radio, and it is a certainty that they will go after that soon.
I see totalitarianism in our near future.

The One is going to have to declare the Declaration of Independence as subversive literature I wouldn't be surprised if this is the whole point of the Obama-exercise.
This makes "American Carol" look prescient.

I did not hear Schmucky Schumer say that...just didn't have the news on to catch that and was out most of the day. I would like to slap his self righteous mug so hard the rest of his head would be bald! Of course we care..democRATS who voted for this group of thugs are going to care too but then it will be too late and I for one will be only too happy to tell that lot, friend or family makes no difference, to “shove it”

Well fed / well entertained populations don't revolt. So they were starving and bored back in 1775?
The starving/bored revolutions tend to result in something even worse than what they rebelled against.
The "We are pissed and we aren't going to take it anymore" revolutions more often come up with something fairly livable in the end... if they win.

Obama cannot order the military to shoot people for civil disobedience. He can try, but get the right kind of general and he might decide that Obama is a domestic enemy.

The Colonists had support from major powers such as France and Spain. Not when it all started, not even before we declared our independence.

"Besides, right now, they have the military."
I wonder if our military would shoot at their own people. Yes, I remember Kent State, but that was young, National Guard guys who were trying to disperse an unruly crowd of students after campus rioting, and began to feel hemmed in and panicked. That event was universally regarded as a tragic, stupid error. I am considering whether our own military would fire on a crowd of gray-haired, old grannies like me plus other inoffensive, middle-class types. In some countries and situations they will, and in other cases, they refuse. I don't know what I believe would happen, but I have been puzzling over it since The One was elected.

I work with military and ex-military every day. There is no way on God’s green earth that they would obey an order to shoot Americans unless they were in fear of their own lives.

it should be noted that with the exception of John Adams (Of Boston Tea Party fame) all were reluctant warriors, preferring petition to parliament over muskets and bayonets until King Georges stubbornness made negotiation impossible. No disrespect but do you honestly think people WANT armed conflict in these United States? I couldn't imagine a faster way to destabilize society than something like that.
All of us with a firm grasp of reality are reluctant warriors. We don't fight because we want to; we fight because circumstances warrant violent conflict.
I DREAD the day that insurgency or civil war comes back to these shores. But I will not shirk my duties, what remains of my honor or stand back and let evil men achieve victory by default.
The only side I see truly looking for a fight is the far left with their planned agenda.
