Too bad PA folks won’t hire a conservative. That’s a seat that will probably go Dem when Specter departs. Not that it will matter.
I’m convinced a solid conservative running a good campaign, can still win statewide in Pennsylvania. True, Santorum lost big in 2006 but (1) it was a godawful year for Republicans (2) he faced the toughest possible Rat opponent: a Casey (3) oddly, he had a flailing campaign without a coherent narrative (very odd because Santorum, besides a good conservative, had always been in touch, a salt-of-the-earth guy).
