According to TN GOP and even Williams himself on the local news last night and this morning, he was kicked out of the Republican Party. He doesn’t seem to care, of course. But they all say he was booted out of the party.

A membership in any organization that can’t be revoked, is not a membership at all.

No, Williams was kicked out of the party. They can’t kick him out as speaker. He can not run as a Republican in the primary. There will be a Republican running for his seat. He can run as an Independent or as a Dem, not as a Republican.
