“I will say I’m a little encouraged by the fact that some of the GOP does seem to be opposing him. I thought they’d just all roll over and have their bellies scratched. But maybe there’s some hope yet.”

There actually can be a BIG positive out of Obama being elected President and that is to strengthen the opposition into an overwhelming block that pushes the Anti-American trash (that is in the White House now) out of power.

Jimmy Carter did it in the 70’s, we got Regan. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to get Americans like Alan Keyes and Gov. Palin in 2010 and 2012.

We should all be very scared of Obama and recognize what he is, teach others what his agenda is, and fight him every inch of the way.

I challenge you to find ten speeches or articles or interviews of his spread out over the last twenty years, chronologically. Read them. Watch for consistency of principle and foresight about what was coming down the road. And then honestly tell me that this isn't one of the sanest men on the planet.

My opinion of Keyes is pretty straight forward. He’s a political opportunist with a mini messiah complex.

No thanks.

Other ‘R’ types know to stay away from such a person in politics.

‘Face it, you were caught spouting off not knowing the facts. It happens, move on. Don’t compound what you said wrong with more untruths. ‘

Sorry, I stand by every post on this thraed.

I have watched and listened to Keyes since the early 80’s. If P do as you say I will see a clear path to his little world of delusion that thinks he should be in charge. Great orator - yes, Great thinker - yes, Good ideas - yes, Good President - No.

Considering all the above, your problem with Dr Keyes is???

You make the mistake that Mr. Chairman hopes everyone else makes: you conflate dislike of Keyes with acceptance of Obama. This is neither necessary nor logical.

Labeling him as crazy is a Stalinist tactic, a pathetic attempt to marginalize the man. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Actually it's quite logical, considering the fact that even during the 2004 race your ilk were so busy tearing down Keyes that you had no time to oppose Obama. Y'all made Obama's job easy. Did his work for him.

It's also worth noting that those talking from your set of talking points in IL have a record of being quite cozy with Hussein.

Again, Mr. Chairman blames Illinois Republicans who were actually donating money, trying to build a grass-roots conservative movement to rejuvinate the Illinois GOP for Keyes' failure to abide by his explicit promises.

I've noticed, as I'm sure others have, that not once have you attempted to refute any of what I have said on this thread. The reason is simple: you can't. Keyes and his cronies raised money based on lies, and you know it.

Any true and honest FReeper who wants to can talk to me privately and get the actual details of what really happened, details which are completely contrary to your malicious and lying version of events.

I have no need to explain these things to a troll such as yourself.

Along with a fundraising pitch, I'm sure.

Again, you fail to refute anything I've posted. You merely don't like the fact that I know what Keyes and his minions actually said to people while taking their money, and how that stands in direct opposition to what he actually did. You can rationalize why, but that doesn't change the fact that he lied.

Typical.

Let me see if I’ve got the progression down: Keyes didn’t lie. Keyes lied because the people in Illinois weren’t nice enought to him. Keyes lied for secret reasons that you can’t discuss openly. Anyone who points out that Keyes lied must support Obama.

Good day, Mr. Chairman.

Typical.

Let’s see if I’ve got the progression down: “Bosh Flimshaw,” sees Keyes thread, does whatever he can to ignore any real discussion of issues, while lying and maliciously attacking and attempting to destroy people personally, thereby chilling further honest discussion of what’s actually ailing our free republic and how to fix it.

Why don’t you just admit that your problem with Dr. Keyes is an ideological one and get it over with? Everyone already knows it anyhow, troll.

Mr. Chairman, I’ve given you every opportunity to demonstrate my statements to be incorrect. You have not done so, yet you continue to call me a liar. That speaks for itself.

Do you suppose anyone else on this thread wonders why you refuse to address the substance of my posts?

To: EternalVigilance

Here is the “substance” of my posts, for you to once again ignore:

(1) Alan Keyes raised money in Illinois while promising donors that he and his organization would stay in Illinois following the election to build grass-roots conservatism.

(2) Both Alan Keyes and his campaign staffers at the highest level explicitly told donors that the money would be going in part to organizing grass-roots conservatives in Illinois following the election.

(3) When asked in a debate whether he would remain in Illinois regardless of the outcome of the election, Alan Keyes responded that he would.

(4) Within a matter of weeks following the election, Alan Keyes left Illinois.

These are facts. You can agree with them, disagree with them, or ignore them, but it doesn’t change the truth.

You can’t lead those who won’t be led. At some point you have to recognize that and go about your business.
