I agree with your statement but remind you of your initial comment in the Hamas won the majority in the legislative body....That, means they are the majority party elected by the people therefore, are a freely elected body.

Doesn't matter, they're not functioning in their elected roles. Like GWB, BHO is negotiating with a fictitious government. The Palestinian Authority only controls 60% of the population. The government in Gaza took power by force, they’re illegitimate. The government in the West Bank, recognized by Israel and the US, holds power by virtue of canceling the Presidential elections. Had they been held, Hamas likely would have won. I don’t see how we can view either government as legitimate.

I don’t. Which is why I have a huge problem sending American tax dollars into the region and/or supporting either side.
