I want to see them B.S. their way out of this the VFW and American Legion will be very vocal.
Thanks for posting this. My husband and I are TFL insured, and are prepared to march on the White House if Obama tries to make this change.
It is hard to believe that veterans would have voted for this arrogant empty suit.
Well, this retired Navy veteran supported President Bush for 8 years.
Sticking to vets and closing Gitmo. Is this a pathetic state of affairs or what?

This Navy veteran did too.
Nearly all the military people I know and have talked to over the last eight years held President Bush in high regard. The few who didn’t hold in in high regard came across as neutral.
Not one, never EVER would have voted for Clinton, Gore, Kerry or Obama. But that is only the ones I have talked to or corresponded with.

When I used to take my Dad to Audie Murphey in San Antonio. I would always hear vets who were badmouthing Bush.
Glad to hear that, and thank you for your service. I would like to believe Bush was good to the vets, but I’ve seen a lot to the contrary.
And it has to be even more so in a VA hospital full of wounded veterans.
Understandably so. Many joined never thinking they'd actually be in a combat zone getting blown up and shot at.
The POTUS is the main target of anger for these guys. It can't be easy for these men and women. It's easy to say you're ready to serve and, if necessary, give your life for your country.
It's another thing to wake up every day not being able to feel your legs, or having them missing entirely.
God bless them all. They all have scars - on the outside and on the inside.
Thank you for your service to our country! God bless you!
I just looked at my ID and it does too-the date is right before my 65th birthday.
I’m expecting the TRICARE Prime rates to go up soon too.
There were also some promises of improved medical benefits for veterans being thrown around during the campaign. One thing I heard mentioned a few times was, for those vets who do not live near a VA hospital, that they could go to civilian medical facilities in their home area and receive care there which the VA would pay for. Am almost certain Obama said that, and another candidate or two. Haven’t heard it mentioned lately, but it’s still early.
Probably, some did; however, in Sept. 2008, my husband's post WWII military group met and all the couples I spoke to were against Obama. Many wives were European, and they felt O's rhetoric and positions reminded them too much of pre WWII speeches they heard as young girls--i.e. Il Duce and Adolph.
I have ins. from my job in addition to Medicare and I didn't drop it when Tricare kicked in for just this reason--you cannot trust Congress--especially today when so very few there ever served.

Well, the billions for ACORN has to come from somewhere. /s
It doesn't cover dental or glasses.

A lifetime or so ago, I worked the Er at the Elmendorf hospital.
IF we sent a retiree downtown for anything because the base could not - or would not - deal with it, it was called CIV MED CARE.
And when you hit 65, you have been eligible for Medicare part A&B.
So the “Part B for thee” was the standard mantra.
SO what ever Medicare didn’t cover (which is damn near everything) you pay the difference.
One night at the ER, I saw an old woman sitting by the Hospital COs office.
Stunned - she had gotten a bill for (IIRC, this was like 1982) 80 or 90K for the local hospital where he was sent by the base.
Her husband, retired, was 70 and had a heart attack.
The base, for whatever reason, sent him downtown.
THe widow was stuck with the bill.
The CO was sympathic, but was bound by law.
I have a ways to go to 65, and if The One and Only hasn’t completely made a mass FUBAR of the medical system, I will carry Medicare part B with suplimental.
I will not have my widow siting on a hard chair wondering what happend. Oh and sue whoever (hosp/docs/the dog) for wrongful death - you can never be too careful.
This is just the opening against Vets and their families.
I don’t think Obama sees them as supporters. They will be the first to pay.
And they wonder why the suicide rate went from 5 to 24 in January? This the just the begining for the new Hollow Army.
