I wonder when conservatives will finally take to the streets? All I ever hear is “I have a job”. I’ll bet many of the libs i the street have jobs too.. It is time the politicians in DC were scared to death of us..

Yep, he’s always good for helping out. He’s been a real help with Band of Mothers when they were there.

The best thing anyone could do is to bring along a video camera and ask politicians questions about the plan. Then, upload the response to Youtube. Just make sure theyre good questions designed to reveal the flaws in the

I really do want to be there but cannot. Do we have any other freepers from Maine that could come. This could have been perfect. I have a Maine RNC renewal on my desk that would be perfect to have on hand to visit Snowe and Collins.

The only problem with sending snail mail to Congress (or, really, any branch of government) these days is that, with all of the security screening that goes on, it's very slow (I've heard that it often takes weeks for a piece of mail to reach a Congressional office). That is true. USPS gets it to the capital "mailroom" in decent time, but they screen every piece for nasty stuff (like Anthrax), and aren't in any particular hurry to get the mail through to the elected officials (especially when there's a lot of mail because of current "issues").

Wish I could, but I have a hard time getting away from here to go to the grocery store for a couple of hours, once a week.
But my thanks, and appreciation to all those who are willing and able to go and ‘raise heck’.

If I didn’t have to be in court for our custody case ( for our grandson) I would be there. Girl, since you are on the east side of the state, maybe you can make it.
In the meantime, tell those nitwit senators how Dave Ramsey would stimulate the economy. It will take 93% less money than the porculus bill, will work this year, won’t take a new department to oversee it, and will generate income for the treasury dept.
1) For every company whose employee base increases (in otherword, if you hire more people than you fire) a $20,000 tax credit per employee. (That’s tax credit, not deduction) 3 million jobs = $60 billion cost.
2) For every person who buys a home a $20,000 tax credit.
Dave points out that homes... building, selling and fixing up, drive a large part of the economy, and when they start selling again a lot of people will get jobs. He also points out that every new hire at a company will begin to pay income tax, so that $60 billion cost will be reduced by the tax income.
As part of my own stimulus package, I am making my donation to Free Republic. Thanks Jim, for all you do.
