> You gotta admire Prince Charles for declining——gotta wonder why.
Prince Charles is a comical fellow and one day (barring disaster) here in the Commonwealth he is going to be our King: an idea that is met with a certain amount of amusement and a certain amount of bemusement.
One thing that can and must be said in Prince Charles’ favor, in order to be fair. While he is unarguably eccentric to the point of being comical, he is no fool — unlike the way the media and others would like to portray him. He is particularly not a fool with his money, and he has lots and lots of that.
While they might be very in-bred and an odd bunch, the Royal Family has existed at the top of Society’s rungs for a very long time, in various (often convoluted) forms. That doesn’t happen by accident.
I’d be willing to bet that Prince Charles can spot a bunco artist like Madoff a mile away: after all, separating the Royal Families of Europe from their money is an age-old occupation for some. Despite his suave, genteel demeanor Madoff-the-Fraudster probably stuck out like Dog’s Bollix to the Prince.
Whay say you? The Brit did not fall for Bernie's dewy, innocent doe-eyed look....... ....and that crinkly, winsome smile?
LOL.
Bernie made billions by the criminal use of gravitas. He should patent his grandfatherly "trust me" demeanor.....and sell it to con artists.
