I can respect your point of view too, but my query is this.

We know chapter and verse on the origins of every President to date - except Barack Obama - of whom we have NO witnesses whatsoever to corroborate the claim that he was born in Hawaii. We have counterclaims from live relatives that he was born in Mombassa, but no documentary evidence either way.

There is a document that could potentially resolve the query, but 0bama won’t release it.

No hospital in Hawaii makes the prestigious claim to be his birthplace, in fact there is total silence in Hawaii about his origins.

Something doesn’t smell quite right, does it?

We do? All I have ever seen have been claims of counterclaims. I have never seen any of Obama's relatives claim unambiguously that he was born in Mombassa.

There's this from a Chicago Tribune article published nearly two years ago, which stated:

Six months after they wed, another letter arrived in Kenya, announcing the birth of Barack Hussein Obama, born Aug. 4, 1961. Despite her husband's continued anger, Sarah Obama said in a recent interview, she "was so happy to have a grandchild in the U.S."

And this from an interview with Obama Senior's tribal wife (who he was married to when he married Dunham) in the East Africa Standard back last November:

She first met her stepson, US President-elect Barack Obama, when he visited Kogelo village in 1988. Keziah says she was "delighted to see him" and that they have since communicated on a number of occasions.

Keziah says she was happy to have a co-wife, and her husband kept her updated. He informed her when Barack Obama Junior was born.

Can you name anyone who had ever actually contacted someone of authority in his campaign and asked if he would release it? Or if it would be possible for him to release a copy of the original that's been claimed he mentions in one of his books?

Tell me all about the witnesses and birth certificates you've witnessed on Abe Lincoln. None. In reality, it is far more likely that Jack Kennedy was born overseas and smuggled back into the USA. At least his family had the power and money to pull off this type of ridiculous cover up. Not to mention his prominent Wall Street father liked to travel in Europe. Oh I forgot, Profiles in Courage a Pulitzer Prize winning autobiography written in 1955 is how we learned chapter and verse all about him isn't it? I don't recall any interviews with people that witnessed his birth in Boston and I'm damn sure he never published his birth certificate. Oh, and no hospital makes the prestigious claim to be his birthplace. For 40 years people have zealously claimed he's still alive on an island owned by Onassis.
