That marine is going to have his a$$ absolutely reamed when the commanders at 8th and I hear about this.

Leadership by example is expected, even if the president is the one needing the example. He should have saluted even if zero wanted to shake his hand.

I agree AND I disagree. The Marine was placed in a no-win situation by the Obamoron. Had he saluted and NOT shaken his hand, it would have been interpreted by the Obamoron as an insult and the young man really WOULD have gotten his butt reamed by the brass. By shaking his hand, he may get his butt reamed, but I kinda doubt it. The military has to know that politicians are extremely unpredictable and prone to do stuff like this.

Other than that, I agree with everything else you said.

I doubt it. The story doesn't say that the Marine didn't salute...unless I missed it. Let's assume he did and then President Obama offers a shake. When someone senior offers his hand, you take it.
