I left the Republicans to join the NYS Conservative Party when they became the Progressive Lite Party and bought a big tent. It wasn't near big enough and McCain didn't seem to notice or care that Conservatives were being pushed out of that tent as fast as “moderates” were being shoved in. It will take a hell of a lot more than one vote against the Porkulus bill for me to ever trust a “Republican” ever again. I know some Conservative Democrats who have left their party as well, and not one of them would EVER join the Republican Party.
