I'd say you're exactly right. Thanks for the clarification. Created quite a discussion around here though.
Hardly. Because you lack the will to explore the history beyond the mere platitudes doesn't equate to a "lack of evidence" for my argument. You're basically doing the online equivalent of shutting your eyes in order to pretend something doesn't exist.
And what pray tell does the political climate before the American Revolution have ANY bearing on the motives of the Founders to create a new nation, huh???
That you could even formulate a question like this may be evidence you lack the intellectual skills to handle the problem in the first place.
You made the assertion that our Founders were dirtbags and you don't have a shred of material to back it up.
Hardly. I said there was more in play than sheer altruism. Try reading a book. What some suggestions?
There certainly are a whole lot of deceptive (wishful?) headlines there.
I wish they would do it too, but if any state secedes, it’s not going to be New Hampshire. The RATS have a strong hold on government for the near future.
Wishful thinking indeed BUT, a small spark can set a forest afire.
The latest: Washington State Introduces Claim to State Sovereignty
Civ, many thanks for the compilation!
And so it goes...
Thanks for the link, I couldn’t remember the other state. Or are there more than two that have done something like this?
THIS SITE list several "state initiatives", not all of which are as sweeping as the ones we've seen in the last few days. Oklahoma came first last year, and early this year, NH, Washington, Arizona, and yes, even Mizzou and Michigan! All with essentially the same "resolution". Wonder who's behind it? More importantly, should we as conservatives support, nay, champion this movement, at least in principle?
We should take a good long look at all of them first — this may be part of the “let’s dismantle the Constitution and put together a new one” movement of the left.
Hmmm, maybe but I sorta doubt it given the known conservatives listed as sponsors on some of these resolutions. Trust but verify???

Cool. The more info available in quick and dirty format the better.
