Minnesota needs a senator from the more conservative southern part of the state. Aside from Rep. John Kline, there really isn't anyone in the bullpen (I love Michelle Bachman, but I don't think she'd do well in a state-wide race; they've already been treating here like Sarah Palin since she was in the legislature). The state legislators have been less than inspiring, so hopefully someone will be able to break through the moderates/liberals who run the state party.

There was a state rep from S. MN who I thought was going to go places. He was around in 93-94 or so when we lived in Prior Lake. I’ve forgotten his name...

I liked him (and voted for him.)
Must say I was disappointed with his vote in favor of the bailout, however.
I guess it's too much to hope for an actual conservative in this state...
