Yes, we hate the media. With a passion. And this story demonstrates why.
Television’s talk triplets — Oprah Winfrey, ABC’s Diane Sawyer, and CBS’ Katie Couric — are reportedly involved in fierce negotiations for the first interview with Nadya Suleman. Her price tag is reportedly $2 million.
Of course, Suleman’s the wacky 33-year old California woman who recently gave birth to octuplets and is now the mother of 14 children under the age of 8.
No further comment necessary.
Why? Its the perfect story for the matriarchy that runs the news & entertainment industry today.
She should get her kids taken away from her, and go directly to jail for being an idiot
Will she get her own TLC show?
What's the "story" here? Yeah, having octuplets is highly unusual, but so freaking what? How much can there be to say about it? It's an interesting headline, that's all.
If she gets the $2 million for her story; she certainly won’t be a “burden on society” (as many have opined).
When I was a kid, several families in our (rural) area had large families. A dozen kids wasn’t unusual. Two sisters of one of these families were in my grade 1 classroom — one as a classmate, the other as the teacher.
I hope they take the money. This way they won’t have to be on welfare.
She is a wack job, but if someone came to me with $2M in cash and wanted to interview me I would tell them anything they wanted to know, in triplicate, AND hooked to a polygraph machine.
She isn’t the one being crazy here, the three twits are.
She'll say, "I had lots of babies, hospital food was lousy, now you give me money, big house and new car".
Her selling her story tells me she doesn’t give a damn about her kids, she was only after making free money without having to work. If she cared about her children she wouldn’t prance them around like they are objects
So if mom takes the $2M, pays taxes, puts the money away in a passbook or some other kind of “secure” account, with today’s interest rates and after taxes she is looking at an annual income of about $35,000 (lots depends on tax brackets and state taxes etc).
Seems to me that for a while, that cash flow will be positive. But once those kids hit school, man, that is going to go fast.
Of course, there will be other deals as well, corp sponsorships, etc. but not a bad start financially if it happens.
Remarkable how the left so consistently rewards bizarre, aberant, grotesque and disgraceful behavior while criticizing the good, virtuous and moral. And we wonder how the US could be in trouble?
Sad that this piece of human garbage could get rich from this.

You know, you'd think this foolishness would end eventually, but it shows no sign of abating. It's goten to the point where people routinely commit heinous acts with the expectation of getting paid by the Circus Media.
