Hey, I dont blame you, you should be happy for your team, I would be happy if it were mine. And my angst here isnt against your average steeler fan. I know several, and like them. As a Raider fan, I tend to have a respect level for the older, historic teams, and want them to do well. I just hate that Obama worship had to rear its ugly head.

But it does beg the question; how do you put politics aside when the owner injects politics at his first opportunity? Its kind of like how do judge a president on his deeds and forget about his race, when every 3 seconds everyone in the media stops to remind you of his race? Mike Tomlin is a heck of a coach in my opinion. I remember watching him earlier in the season and thinking that. But how happy can I be, knowing that now he is going to be the poster boy for that affirmative action “rooney rule” nonsense.

But congrats to the Steelers, and you certainly deserve your celebration. I just wish that it could just be about the football.

I am a Pittsburgh fan. Steelers, Penguins, Pirates (God help 'em) and both Pitt & PSU.

It's part of who I am. I was a 'Burgh fan before I cared about politics, and when old man Rooney is dead and gone I will still be a 'Burgh fan.

I hate everything 0bama stands for, but please understand...for better or worse...I am a Pittsburgh fan!

I quit listening to sports radio a couple of months ago because all the commentators were talking about Obama as much as they were sports. As to Tomlin, I think he’s proven himself as a coach. The Steelers were not the most talented team in the NFL this year, but they played tough every game and reflected their coach. I wish Jerry Jones would try a little of that affirmative action, the Cowboys reflected their coach this year, and played like the Pillsbury Doughboys.
