What is so unfortunate about these Olympic athletes is that they work for one thing there whole life and that is winning a gold medal and once they accomplish their goal or fall short of their goal and they then say, “Now what?”

It is a very unbalanced life. Like Michael said all he did was “sleep, eat and swim.” Now that it is over and he has all this idle time he has nothing to accomplish.

I remember Mary Lou Retton said the same thing after she was done, she gained 40 lbs and no idea what to do after it was over.

I hope he learns from his mistakes because he is on a “self destruction” course. He has been in Vegas a lot living it up and trying to learn as much as possible about poker.

Hopefully this is a wake up call for him.

True, but Mary Lou came through okay. She’s married with kids and doing ads for GNC, goes to the UT home games and still has a gymnast’s body.

Like most people he has probably smoked an occasionaly joint since high school, but will go on Oprah and play it up as "poor him" after he won those golds.
